Dahisar-Bhayandar Link Road

One of the flagship projects, the Dahisar-Bhayandar Link Road (DBLR), is a 5 km elevated road that will significantly reduce congestion at the Dahisar check naka. With Larsen & Toubro executing the project, the DBLR connects key parts of the western suburbs and facilitates smoother intercity travel.

Double-Decker Flyover under Metro Line-9

In 2025, a new double-decker flyover was inaugurated from Sai Baba Nagar to Shivar Garden, enhancing the Metro Line-9 corridor. This structure not only supports metro transit but also streamlines vehicular traffic underneath, marking a milestone in urban transit engineering.

Road Concreting and Smart Water Integration

MBMC has also taken major strides in integrating road development with utilities, launching a large-scale road concreting project alongside an overhaul of the water distribution network. This dual approach ensures long-term durability and reduces recurring construction-related inconvenience.

Despite budgetary hurdles due to prior pandemic-related spending, MBMC remains committed to completing 67 roads before the monsoon. Additionally, discussions around smart mobility solutions like pod taxis signal a vision beyond just roads—toward a smart, connected urban future.
