India is a young country. With over 65% of the population below the age of 35, the future of our nation lies firmly in the hands of the youth. As a public servant, I have always believed that if we want real, lasting change in our society, we must encourage young people to actively participate in politics—not just as voters, but as leaders, thinkers, and changemakers.

Why Youth Must Step In

Too often, young people feel disconnected from politics. They see it as something far away, filled with power struggles and little progress. But the truth is, real politics begins at the grassroots level. It begins when a young person raises their voice for a better road, cleaner surroundings, or safer neighborhoods.

When youth get involved, they bring energy, innovation, and a fearless drive to do what’s right—not what’s easy.

My Own Experience

When I began my journey in public life, I was driven by the desire to solve real issues that affect real people. It wasn’t always easy, but every challenge taught me something valuable. Today, as the District Vice President of Mira Bhayandar, I have the privilege of working with people of all ages—but I am especially proud when I see young citizens step forward with ideas and passion.

Whether it's through participating in local meetings, volunteering for campaigns, or using social media responsibly to raise awareness, youth are already shaping the future.
